4. Pour detergent and liquid fabric softeners into
their dispensers.
5. Choose the water temperature for the wash
cycle: hot (whites), warm (colors & cotton), or
cold (delicate items).
6. If you need to add bleach, allow the machine to
run for a few minutes to mix the detergent and
water, and then add about a cup of bleach to the
washer or the bleach dispenser. (Do not pour
bleach directly on clothes.) |
7. Once the clothes are washed, place the clothes
(and an anti-static sheet, if desired) in the dryer.
8. Remove and throw away lint from the dryer's lint
tray.
9. Close door and select the drying temperature: low
(delicates), medium (for most fabrics), or high
(cotton). When uncertain, medium is the safest bet.
10. Once the clothes are completely dry, remove
them from the dryer and fold immediately to prevent
wrinkling. |
